The tutorial of Escape Simulator teaches the players basic mechanics & features of the game. It ends with a miniature escape room. As this is a detailed walkthrough of the game, I’ll be covering the entire tutorial including parts that are extremely simple, so feel free to skip to the mini-escape room section if you want.
After starting Escape Simulator, go to Singleplayer/Multiplayer depending if you’re playing solo or with others. Then, you’ll be able to select the particular Escape Room that you wish to try.
Under the Original tab, select Tutorial and press play (or double click the image). The game should begin.
Tutorial
The game will begin after a brief loading screen.
Once you’re here, just follow the instructions displayed on the top-left corner.Use WASD/Arrow keys to move around. The meter will fill up as you move, and you’ll be transported to the next stage once it is full.Drag the chair anywhere you want. If done correctly, you’ll be given the next instruction.Press C or CTRL to crouch. If done correctly, you’ll be given the next instruction.Left-click on the red button to proceed to the next stageLeft-click on the silver key to pick it up. If done correctly, you’ll be given the next instruction.While holding the key, aim it towards the wardrobe’s lock. It should align itself, and then left-click to open the wardrobe. If done correctly, you’ll be given the next instruction.To put items in your inventory, first left-click an item to pick them up. Then, right-click while you’re holding that item to store them in your inventory. If done correctly, you’ll be brought to the next stage.Select the an item in your inventory using your number keys (1-9) or your mouse wheel. Place it on the corresponding slot on the table. Needless to say, the triangle will go to the center slot, the square to the left slot, and the circle to the right slot. If done correctly, you’ll be brought to the next stage.Pick up 10 balls to advance to the next stage. This stage basically teaches you that you can also store an item into your inventory by double clicking it. You may use whichever is faster for you, double click OR left-click + right-click.
Remember to open and check the wardrobe for the balls too.
If done correctly, you’ll be brought to the next stage.First, pick up the puzzle box. While holding it, press the Space key to examine an item. If done correctly, you’ll be given the next instruction.Left-click on the small door to reveal the winding key. Take the winding key too. If done correctly, you’ll be given the next instruction.Rotate the puzzle box to view the left side of the small door. There should be a small circular slot. Then, left-click & drag the winding key from your inventory to that slot. It should align automatically. If done correctly, you’ll be given the next instruction.Take the code and use it on the lock of the wardrobe.Enter the code on this lock. If done correctly, you’ll be given the next instruction.Take the key inside the wardrobe and unlock the door. If done correctly, you’ll be brought to the Miniature Escape Room!
Miniature Escape Room
In this part of the tutorial, you’ll need to figure out on your own how to escape.
This is what you’ll see once you load into this room.By the window, there is a crate with a lock. Examine the lock.The 4 digit combination for the lock seems to be related to those symbols. When looking at the carpet on the floor, you can find those same symbols. By drawing a route from the police station to the hospital, you can connect 4 numbers together. They are 5 -> 6 -> 3 -> 4.Go back to the lock and enter 5634.Inside the crate is a Toy Car and a puzzle piece. Take the puzzle piece.Now, go to the wardrobe and examine the lock.The 3 digit combination of the lock is related to turning on some form of light.Go to the table and turn on the tabletop light by clicking on its switch. This reveals the 3 digit lock combination, 247.Enter the combination and inside the wardrobe is another puzzle piece. Take it.The 3rd puzzle piece is hidden underneath the pillow. Drag it aside to reveal the puzzle piece.The 4th puzzle piece is in the first drawer of the bedside table.The 5th puzzle piece is laying right beside the puzzle box, on the table. Note that the order of finding these puzzle pieces is not important, just make sure you find all 5 of them.Now you need to solve a simple puzzle. The solved puzzle looks like the above.The door key will slide out after you solve the puzzle.Use it on the door.Congratulations, you have finished the tutorial and will be more than capable of tackling the other Escape Rooms!
